How to Connect Tally in the LucaGPT Beta #
After logging into the LucaGPT Desktop Application, follow the steps below to connect your Tally software. This allows LucaGPT to access your business data and provide intelligent insights.
Step 1: Ensure Tally is Running #
- Launch Tally on your computer.
- Make sure it’s in Gateway of Tally or TallyPrime mode.
- By default, Tally runs its internal server on port 9000.
Step 2: Verify the Tally Port #
- Open TallyPrime.
- Press F1 (Help) on your keyboard.
- Go to Settings → Connectivity.
- Select Client/Server Configuration.
- Set “TallyPrime acts as:” to Both (Client & Server).
- The port number will be displayed on the screen.
- Note: The default port is usually 9000. If it’s different, make sure to copy the port number exactly as shown.
Step 3: Connect Tally in LucaGPT #
- Return to the LucaGPT Desktop Application.
- Find the section labeled “Enter Tally Port.”
- Enter the correct port number (e.g., 9000).
- Click the “Connect to Tally” button.
Step 4: Select Your Tally Company #
- Once connected, you’ll be taken to the Company Select screen.
- Select the active company currently open in Tally.
- Click “Connect with Company” to complete the setup.
You’re Connected! #
You are now fully connected to your Tally company inside LucaGPT and ready to use its intelligent features.
Troubleshooting Tips #
- Ensure Tally is running and not minimized to the tray.
- Confirm the port number is correct and not blocked by a firewall.
- Make sure a company is open and Tally is in Gateway of Tally mode.
